Kyra & Eric had an incredible and beautiful fall wedding last October 1st at the St. Norbert Arts Centre. You honestly couldn’t have asked for better weather. The day was awesome, relaxed and fly by without a hitch. Great couple and wedding party. I have had the pleasure of knowing the groom for many years now as a good friend’s michieveous’s little brother It was such a nice day to see him all grown up and getting married and it was wonderful to see the whole family again. Congrats again Kyra & Eric! I cannot wait to hear about your honeymoon in Europe!! xo

Gerry & his pups…

I had to pleasure to photograph Gerry before Christmas! His son Nic asked to me to come by and take some shots of his dad (and their beloved dogs) as a surprise for his mom for Christmas. It was an honour. Gerry is such a kind soul and it was great to meet him and capture him “AS IS” (as he insisted :)) Here are some of my favorite candids from the shoot.

Natasha & her peanut Anais

Natasha & I go way back - to our High School days. She is a sweetheart and it was so good to see her and spend time with her & her little girl Anais, before her new Baby made his appearance in the world! Candid photos were really important to Natasha - she wanted some very natural, casual images of her and her daughter’s bond
Congratulations to Natasha & Jason - arriving 9 days early on January 11th, weighing in at 9 lbs 3oz & measuring 22 in, their son Matias Lee Salamon was born! Can’t wait to meet him!

Rockers Tina & Chris and their Zombie-themed Engagement Shoot!

This is by far one of the coolest, most original and fun shoots i’ve ever done! This couple ROCKS!! Tina & Chris are super awesome and are certainly one of a kind! We did this photoshoot just before their Halloween Wedding social in October! It was freezing out but they made everything work. Their 50’s zombie look was a HIT!
Make-up was done by the amazing Siuleen Thai from Splurge Beauty! Tina & Chris wedding is next August and I can’t wait!

Hi everyone!!
Wow!! Happy New Year!!
I’m so sorry - i know it’s been forever since i’ve blogged! ALOT has happened since! Our family relocating - 2 destination weddings - Christmas - New years!

Yup! The past few months have been INSANE crazy. Fall was very busy with my family and I moving out to Niverville (from Winnipeg). It was a very sudden decision but It’s been a great change so far and my husband Paul loves his new position at Hydro out here. I was also busy due to all my wonderful clients needing Christmas pictures and cards.

And in December, in the middle of the xmas rush - I was soo fortunate to be able to go to the BIG APPLE to shoot with a wedding with Nghia Tran. It was the best experience to be in New York City! I loved every second. Went to see & document many of the major sites - Brooklyn Bridge - Times Square - Rockerfeller Center - 911 memorial site - China town - Empire State & Flat Iron Bldg etc, experienced the crazy under world of the NYC subway, got to see my 1st Broadway play (Phantom of the Opera) and got to shoot amazing pics in Central Park with the funnest couple.

Seeing the New York Skyline for the first time was a great moment…made me pretty much scream with excitement. It is like something you’ve never seen before - espaicelly for little me - born & raised in Wpg, MB! To commemorate such an memorable trip, i want to share one of my favorite images from NYC. (I will be posting more later as well!) I also treated myself to a one of my first fine art pieces for our new Rec Room…an 7′x3′ Canvas…

Mel & Dave’s amazing wedding day - August 27, 2011

This wedding day was unbelievable. HOT couple, the atmosphere was fun and relaxed, the weather was awesome and everything went off without a hitch!! We started off at the Inn at the Forks and headed to the Exchange, Whittier park and then ended up in my new home town - Niverville, for the ceremony and rockin reception!! Presenting Chef Luc Jean. I had the pleasure of photographing Luc at Red River College (Notre Dame) where he is an instructor in the culinary department. He is well-known in Winnipeg and recently got asked to be featured in a magazine from Quebec, hence why we took some photos of one of his amazing soups. Chef Luc’s restaurent - located on the Red River College campus - Prairie Lights (http://www.prairielights.ca/) just opened at the end of October 2011. Go check it out!

I’m so sorry that i’ve been Missing in Action on my blog lately - it’s been so crazy and i’ve been working frantically to catch up from wedding season.
